FAQ's
Here is some more of the info about this community, if you have any questions please leave them here and I will try to answer them as soon as possible!

What is fictionland?
- fictionland is an interactive community modeled after many other land comms, except this comm is centered around writing, such as original fiction, fanfiction, etc.

- 95% of the challenges will be writing challenges, word games, team writing challenges, etc.

- You must participate in at least ONE challenge every two weeks or else you will be removed from your team. You can re-apply but there is no guarantee that you will get back on the same team.

What are the different teams?
- The different teams will be romance fiction, drama fiction and mystery fiction.

- The teams have no baring on what you write!! They are just a name and just a way for us to organize everyone into the different teams.

What are tag banners/team icons and how will they work?
- Tag banners are 300 by 150 banners that inclue your name and team name, and it makes it easier for the mods to know what team you are on as well as for you to show off your favorite fandoms. Team icons are icons that have your team name on them.

- The tag banners/team icons will also get you an extra point on most of the challenges when you use them!

- Because this is a writing land comm, there will not be a challenge for the tag banners/team icons. BUT look for a post in our social comm (fl_social) in the next few days and you can post your favorite fandoms and other members can make you tag banners/team icons!

What about the ratings?
- We ask that for challenges where there will be voting (you will know in the challenge post if there will be voting or not), that you keep the writing PG-13 or below. This means no graphic sex/violence, no rape/dub con, etc should be in any challenge where there is voting! For other challenges, you may write above PG-13 but you MUST post the story in your own journal and link back and it MUST include warnings!!

- The mods reserve the right to ask you to re-write something for the challenges where there will be voting if we feel that it goes over a PG-13 rating.

What if I only write fanfiction and not original writing or vise versa?
- That's fine! While there may be a challenge or two where it may be more focused on original writing (a poem challenge, etc) you will probably be able to focus on fandoms for those challenges. The same can be said for if you write Original writing and not fanfic, the vast majority of challenges will have it where you can either write Original or write fanfic.

Who are the mods?
- The mods are myself (regularamanda) as well as ladygj.

- We are still in need of mods for the team comms, so if you are interested when you apply, let us know! I'd like to see 2 mods for each comm if at all possible.

- ladygj and myself will probably not be added to a team, so when we participate (we want to play too!) our points will go to the team that has the lowest amount of points for that challenge.

- The Secret Code when you apply is your favorite quote.

WHOOPS! It's supposed to be 300x150, I went back and edited the FAQ (actually I think for my other land comms they're actually 275x150 *head desk*) but it doesn't really matter at all. :) (as long as they're not you know...HUGE! ;) ) So if some of your members have already made 350 sized ones, just let them know that they can still use them. :)

Sorry if I've just missed this somewhere, but is RPF permitted?

Sorry, I'm so late replying to your question. Somehow, I hadn't seen it. :/

RPF is permitted. :)

2 related questions:

1. Can the link be to in a public post in a personal writing community rather than our personal journals?

2. Would you prefer authors use the appropriate adult content flag if it is above PG-13? [I tend to do this for most of my works that go between Mature (R) and Explicit(NC-17), so I'm wondering if that will be a problem or not.]

1. Of course!

2. I'm not sure what you mean by that that, but if it's appropriate elsewhere, I don't see why it wouldn't be here. ;D As long as the contents of the piece of work are clear, you may warn the way you like.
